We glorify the lift and ignore the rest that makes the lift matter.

Muscles do not grow in the gym. They grow in the hours after, when you sleep, eat, and do nothing. Without recovery, training is just damage.

Recovery is not time off. It is part of the program.

The best athletes are not the ones who train the most. They are the ones who recover the best. They sleep eight hours, they eat enough, they take the easy day easy so the hard day can be hard.

Try it:

  • Sleep is your first supplement. No powder replaces eight hours.
  • Eat to recover, not to reward. Protein, water, and enough food.
  • Take the easy day easy. A walk, a stretch, a breath. Not a test.

You do not need to train more. You need to recover as deliberately as you train.
